Mandy Eakins, IAABC-CDBC, CPDT-KA, KPA CTP Owner, Manners Matter Dog Training and Daycare Our extraordinary guest and friend, Mandy Eakins, has been working with dogs for over 25 years, is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant, Karen Pryor Certified Training Partner, Fear Free Certified Professional, FitPaws Master Trainer, AKC Evaluator, acclaimed professional dog handler, and Owner of Manners Matter Dog Training and Daycare. It all started with a pet Jack Russell, named Scooter, that Mandy acquired as a 5 week old puppy. She started her dog professional life as an assistant in a veterinary clinic, which led her to Search & Rescue and into the heart of a Duck Tolling retriever, Annie. Mandy left S&R to emerge into the dog sports world as a top trainer and handler. She’s titled dogs in conformation (including at Westminster!), agility, field work, obedience, rally, and most recently, dock diving. She became a professional trainer 10 years ago and became a full time trainer a couple years later. Her professional training career led her to working with Dr. Amy Pike in Kentucky. Today, Mandy is the proud owner of Manners Matter, a brick and mortar training, daycare and enrichment center just outside Lexington, Kentucky, and has raised 3 certified trainers herself! Resources:
